Set up and use your Suiball
Step-by-step instructions, with the exact screens you'll see on the device: first power-on, creating or importing a wallet, everyday apps and settings, and pairing with the Slush mobile app or browser extension over USB or Bluetooth.
Starting the device
Powering the device on and off.
Power on
Press the button once to turn the device on.
Power off
Press and hold the button for 4 seconds to turn the device off.
Initializing the device
On first boot the device has no wallet. You'll choose one of two paths from the home screen; both paths start by setting a device PIN.
New Wallet
Generates a fresh 12-word seed phrase on the device. Choose this if you've never used a wallet before, or want a brand-new set of accounts.
Import Wallet
Restores accounts from a 12-word seed phrase you already have. Choose this to move an existing wallet onto the device or recover after a reset.
Create a new wallet
Six screens, about two minutes. Use the recovery card that comes with the package to write down the 12-word recovery phrase.
Tap New Wallet
On the home screen, tap the top button. The selected option is filled in blue.
Set a device PIN
Enter 4–8 digits on the keypad, then tap ↵ to confirm. Use ⌫ to correct a digit.
Avoid obvious sequences. The example shown, 12345678, is only a placeholder.
Confirm the PIN
Type the same PIN again and tap ↵. If the two entries don't match, the device asks you to start the PIN over.
Read the security notice
The device will now generate your seed phrase. Anyone with these 12 words controls your funds, and without them the account cannot be recovered.
Tap the circle next to I understand, then tap OK. The OK button stays disabled until you acknowledge.
Write down all 12 words, in order
Scroll the list by swiping. The word in focus is enlarged and shown to the right of the blue marker. Record each word with its number on the recovery card.
Do not photograph the screen or store the words on a phone or computer.
Verify your backup
You will need to verify every single word of the 12-word recovery phrase, one by one — for example Verify word #4. Tap the correct word from the four choices and press OK.
If any word is not verified correctly, a new recovery phrase is generated and you repeat the same process from the beginning. Once all 12 words are verified, your accounts are generated and the device opens the main screen.
Import a wallet
Restore an existing wallet by typing your 12-word seed phrase on the device's on-screen keyboard. The phrase never leaves the device.
Tap Import Wallet
On the home screen, tap the lower button.
Set a device PIN
Enter 4–8 digits and tap ↵. This is a new PIN for this device; it doesn't need to match any PIN you used elsewhere.
Confirm the PIN
Re-enter the same digits and tap ↵.
Read the notice
You'll type the 12 words one at a time, in the correct order. When all words are entered correctly, your accounts are generated.
Tap I understand, then OK.
Type word 1
Use the on-screen keyboard. The title shows which word you're entering. Tap ⌫ to delete, ⇧ for capitals (not required — words are matched case-insensitively), and ↵ to submit.
Continue through word 12
A green check appears when the word you typed is a valid seed word. Press ↵ to move on. If a word isn't recognized, no check appears — correct the spelling before submitting.
After the twelfth word, the device generates your accounts and opens the main screen.
Main screen and applications
Once a wallet is set up, the device opens the main screen: a carousel of three apps. Swipe left or right to move between them and tap the centre icon to open the selected app. The name of the selected app is shown at the bottom, and the battery indicator sits at the top.
Sui app
Open the Sui app to sign Sui network transactions. When connected to Slush it waits on the Awaiting Transactions screen until a transaction is sent to the device for approval.
Bitcoin app
Open the Bitcoin app to sign Bitcoin transactions. It behaves the same way: the device waits on Awaiting Transactions until one arrives.
Approving transactions
Every transaction is shown on the device before it is signed. Review the details, then tap the blue button to approve or the red ✕ to reject. In either case you can press the i button on the right to learn more about the transaction — it opens the full transaction body as readable JSON text.
Battery indicator
The badge at the top of the main screen shows the battery state.
Settings
Open the Settings app (gear icon) from the main screen. Swipe up or down to scroll the list; the option in focus is highlighted. Tap it to open.

Bluetooth
Tap ON or OFF. The selected button fills blue and the status line below updates. The device's Bluetooth name is shown under the title — this is the name to look for in your phone's device list. Bluetooth must be enabled to pair with the Slush mobile app.
NFC
Works the same way as Bluetooth: tap ON or OFF and check the status line.
Device Info
Shows the hardware version, production batch and firmware version. Tap QR to display the Device Identity public key as a QR code — scan it from the web application to verify the device.
Wipe Keys
Erases all accounts and returns the device to its factory state. Your funds are not lost as long as you have the 12-word recovery phrase — you can restore them on this or any other device with Import Wallet.
Verify your PIN
Enter the device PIN and tap ↵. Wiping is only possible with the correct PIN.
Confirm the wipe
Make sure you have recorded and saved the recovery phrase — without it this account cannot be recovered. Tap WIPE to proceed or ✕ to cancel.
Account wiped
All keys are erased. Power-cycle the device (hold the button 4 seconds to turn it off, press once to turn it on).
Start fresh
The device boots to the home screen. Choose New Wallet or Import Wallet to set it up again.
Authenticate
Proves the device is genuine. The web application gives you a random challenge; the device signs it with its identity key and shows the signature as a QR code for the web application to verify.
Type the challenge
Enter the challenge text shown by the web application using the on-screen keyboard, then tap ↵.
Scan the signature
The device displays the signature as a QR code. Scan it with the web application to complete authentication.
Update
Firmware updates are installed from the Suiball Web app over USB. The full update takes up to 5–6 minutes.
Open Update and connect over USB
Make sure your recovery phrase is saved in case something goes wrong during the update. Then connect the device to the Suiball Web app over USB and start the firmware update from the web app.
Wait for the update to finish
The device shows Firmware Update In Progress…. Do not power off or disconnect the cable. When the update completes the device reboots on its own.
Pairing with Slush
The device works as a signer for the Slush wallet. Slush builds and broadcasts transactions; the device holds the keys and approves each signature on its own screen.

Unlock the device
Enter your PIN.
Open the Sui app
From the main screen, open the Sui app. This enables the USB port.
Connect over USB
Plug the Suiball into your desktop or laptop. It is detected as Suiball.
Add a hardware wallet in Slush
Open the Slush extension or web wallet and click + in the top right of the Accounts panel.
Select Ledger
Choose Ledger — Import your account(s) from your hardware wallet. Use this option for now, until Suiball is officially integrated and has its own button.

Import accounts
10 accounts are generated and presented per Suiball. Select the account(s) you want to import into Slush.
Bluetooth — mobile app
Enable Bluetooth on the device
Open Settings → Bluetooth and tap ON. Note the device's Bluetooth name shown under the title.
Go back to the Sui app
From Settings, return to the main screen and open the Sui app so Bluetooth is accessible. Without entering the Sui app, both the Bluetooth and USB ports are disabled.
Pair from Slush Mobile
In the Slush mobile app, add a hardware wallet and choose Ledger (for now), then select Suiball. On first pairing a secure pairing PIN pops up on both the device and the phone — it is used to encrypt the Bluetooth communication channel. Make sure the two PINs match.
Confirm on both sides
Tap PAIR on the Suiball and confirm on the mobile side as well to complete the secure pairing. A green check confirms it on the device.

Import accounts
Slush then requests all account addresses from the device and displays them. Select any of the 10 accounts you need and import them.
Slush mobile app
- Install Slush from the App Store or Google Play and open it.
- Add a hardware wallet account, choose Ledger (for now) and connect over Bluetooth as above.
- Select which device accounts to add to Slush. Only public addresses are shared — keys stay on the device.
- To send: create the transaction in Slush, then review and approve it on the device screen.
Slush browser extension
- Install the Slush extension and open it on your PC or laptop.
- Click +, choose Ledger (for now) and connect over USB as above.
- Select the accounts to import. Transactions from dApps connected to Slush are routed to the device for approval.
Troubleshooting

| Forgot the PIN | Stop before the fifth wrong attempt — the device locks permanently after 5 failures. Recovery requires a new device and your 12-word recovery phrase. |

| Slush doesn't see the device over USB | Unlock the device first, try another cable or port, and make sure the browser has permission to access USB devices. USB works with the web wallet and extension only, not the mobile app. |
